Most of us will believe that vegetables and fruits sold at the supermarket are fresh and clean products. However, it is not true at all as pesticides are used in almost farming in the world.
Luckily, there are several methods that can help you remove these toxins. You just need to follow the below instructions:
Using iodine solution
Prepare:
1 liter of water
5 ml of iodine solution
Guide:
Firstly, wash fruits and vegetables under running water tap. Then, mix 5 ml of iodine into 1 liter of water and soak vegetables and fruits in the mixture.
Next, use a black or dark blue cloth to cover on the top of this mixture for 1 hour. Make sure you soak the vegetables and fruits in this mixture in the dark room because this helps prevent the oxidation of iodine.
After 1 hour, get fruits and vegetables out of the mixture and wash again with clean water. I am sure that vegetables and fruits are totally clean now and have no pesticide contamination.
Vinegar soak
Prepare
1 liter of water
10ml of white vinegar
Guide:
Fill up a large bowl or your kitchen sink with 1 liter of water and 10ml of white vinegar. Let your fruits and vegetables soak in this mixture for up to an hour (non-organic apples can soak for an additional 30 minutes to an hour). Remove the produce from the mixture, give them another quick rinse with water, and they are ready to eat! This mixture also helps to extend the life of your fruits and vegetables so that they last longer without spoiling.
Be careful while washing fruits like berries or those with a thin peel as the solution might damage their porous outer-skin.
