If you work on the computer or any other technological devices for an extended period of time, you probably find that your eyes get tired before the day is done. Consequently, visual acuity will decline rapidly and eye puffiness also will appear. Here are 6 steps for a very simple eye massage.
Step 1:
Place the tip of your middle fingers just above the inner edges of your eyebrows. Without moving your fingers, apply pressure towards the outer corner of the eyebrow. Press, hold and release. Sweep your fingers under your eyes (avoiding the fragile skin around the eye), from the inside to the outside of the face. Once at the end, return to the starting position and repeat 3 times.
Step 2:
Cover your eyes with the palms of your hands and close your fingers to make it as dark as possible. Enjoy the warmth and darkness for 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 3:
Take the tip of your thumb and place it on the bridge of your nose. Rub in a circular motion for a minute or two.
After that use your palm, gently move from the bridge of your nose to the temples. It helps stimulate blood flow in this area. Repeat 6 times.
Step 4:
After hand massage, cover your eyes with a warm towel. Hold your hands there until the towel starts to cool off. It is to reduce eye puffiness or dark circles.
Step 5:
Choose an effective eye moisturizer, apply and massage around your eye.
Step 6:
To avoid eye bags, use your finger to lift the eyelid up to eyebrows.
Before massage, you should pay particular attention to the following guidelines:
– Wash your face and hands before massage;
– Massage gently, never massaging too hard;
– Do not massage if there is eye irritation or redness.
The eyes are the window to your soul. So it’s important to try and maintain a healthy-looking eye area. Hopefully, those above guidelines will help you know how to massage your tired eye and have a healthy eye.
